This is a song I wrote driving through "downtown" Dixon New Mexico on my way home. The melody popped into my head and didn't leave until the song was done when I pulled in the driveway. In other words It was written very quickly and I recorded it when I got home that evening. I tried recording it later but I became too attached to the spontaneity and freshness of the original demo despite its imperfections and challenges to work with. All praises to mr Steve Mayone for dealing with my chaos. It's pretty incredible what "short dawg" Mr. Mayone can do with a compromised recording. That is some funky shit! Maybe we should call him "spice dawg?" He brought in some pretty incredible players to give this track a high class funky beautiful quality! Thanks to Jeff Hudgins
