Here is my version of House Carpenter. I stay true to the original Clarence Ashley recording that I heard off of Harry Smith Folk Anthology years ago. This song Is the epitome of a sad, tragic tale of seduction, regret and karma. A lot of people have covered it including Bob Dylan. LISTEN TO JEFF"S BELLS! They remind me of haunted bouy bells ringing out across the waters of oblivion, very Edgar Allan Poe.
